The series of self-portraits “Identity”, doesn’t originate as a perfectly defined project, but it’s the result of an introspective growth that has changed during the course of time, especially due to particular circumstances that occurred in my private life.
This is why I tried, guided by my sensations, to transform in photographs the intimate and ephemeral pursuit of my own’s identity, and the anxiety that originates from it.
My face is hidden, blinded by reality, moved by the fear of exposure; I perceive from these photos the slow but continuous development of the image of myself and of the impressions this image gives to the observers.
